Positioning Assessments with Managers.

How Should Companies Position Assessments with Candidates?

Jamie Sprayregen: “I actually think folks' reactions to being asked to take an assessment is kind of telling in and of itself because willingness to open yourself up and maybe take a little risk and learn something you don’t know or maybe don’t want to know is part and parcel of the experience, and so I think it should be positioned as this is very much a positive, just like any interview process and that’s what I look at it as, it’s an elaboration, as I said, in a more structured, analytical way, on the interview process and there’s no reason to be intimidated by it or annoyed or upset or taken aback. It’s a tool in the toolbox that I think is quite useful. And that’s the way I think it ought to be postured.”
